JOHN SCHNEIDER

MANAGING PARTNER

John joined Ohana Advisors in 2018 and currently serves as Managing Partner and a member of the firm's Investment Committee. In partnership with Josh Richter, John is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic direction and objectives of the firm. His responsibilities encompass managing client relationships and service, overseeing business development initiatives, firm operations, and compliance, as well as closely collaborating with the Chief Investment Officer and clients to assess and oversee investment opportunities across asset classes. Prior to Ohana, John led corporate development at Interactive Brokers, simultaneously serving as an investment professional for an affiliated single-family office focusing on public equity and venture capital investments. Previously, he was a partner and senior research analyst at Artis Capital and Lamond Capital, two hedge funds specializing in the technology sector, where he focused on financial technology and clean technology investments. John also served as a general partner in two venture capital funds at Artis Capital, concentrating primarily on later-stage technology and clean technology investments. Earlier in his career, John spent 12 years in investment banking at WR Hambrecht + Co and Robertson Stephens. At WR Hambrecht, he held senior leadership positions including Head of Investment Banking, Executive Committee member, and Head of the Auction Products Group. John earned his AB degree in History from Princeton University. A native San Franciscan, he resides in Marin County with his family and their dog, Winston, who regularly joins the team at the San Rafael office.
